Rehman Malik behind passport scandal: Sanaullah

LAHORE – Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah accused Adviser to Prime Minister on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik of receiving ‘monthly’ from the passport office and said he was the main character behind the passport scandal.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sana said Malik was the prime accused in this scandal should immediately be arrested and interrogated. He said the passport scandal had brought shame to the nation and tarnished the image of the country.
While commenting on the statement of Malik, the law minister said Malik could take any extra-constitutional step to achieve his personal ends. Sana said corruption, loot and plunder was the only manifesto of PPP whom the people would completely reject in the next elections.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government spokesman said that on the behest of Rehman Malik, FIA registered a case against secretaries to chief minister and other persons on malafide intention.
The spokesman said Punjab government had fully implemented the recommendations made by the Judicial Commission in this regard. The commission had not ordered registration of FIR anywhere in its recommendations, he added.
The spokesman questioned that one and an half years had passed to the report of the commission and why Rehman Malik did not take any action during this period.
The spokesman said the political vendetta and any conspiracy of Rehman Malik would be faced at every forum.
