ISLAMABAD - Deploring the law and order situation of restive Balochistan province, PML-Likeminded President, Saleem Saifullah Khan has said that convening all parties conference is not a resolution to the host of issues the country faces.
“It is commendable to call all parties conference but it is not a durable solution of challenges the country has been facing, including Balochistan issue. What we need is true intention to resolve these issues,” commented Khan while addressing a news conference here at party’s central secretariat where politicians from Balochistan including Mir Mukrum Khan Zehri, Zaman Jamali and Sikandar Mengal along with their associates announced to join PML-Likeminded.
Khan stressed PTI, JI, PPP (Sherpao), JUI-F and other political parties to start a joint movement against the corrupt and irresponsible rulers.
Khan said there was a dire need to address the long neglected issues and miseries of people for Balochistan to bring back peace in the province. He said some quarters were wrongly propagating the involvement of some foreign hand behind deteriorating situation of the country. “Those who wanted to get struck with the power are real threat to the country,” he observed. He said by joining the ruling coalition, the Chaudhay’s of Gujrat insulted the mandate the masses had given to them, as PML had contested the last general elections against PPP. Saleem Saifullah was of the view that PML-N should not resign from the assemblies, as that act would provide a chance to PPP to influence the caretaker set up for next general elections.
He said all the political parties including PTI and JI would be taken on board over the issue of caretaker set up. Commending the appointment of Fakharud Din Ibrahim as Chief Election Commissioner he said it would help holding a fare election in the country.
