Shortfall of electricity continues

Shortfall of electricity has increased and reached to the level of 4344 Mega Watts during the holy month of Ramzan all over the country.
According to Energy Management Cell, the generation of electricity is 14,144 Mega Watt while its requirement is 18,488 Mega Watt.
Owing to shortfall of electricity unscheduled and long hours power outage has increased in cites and rural areas of Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and KPK.
Lahore is witnessing power outages of 12 to 14 hours while in villages it has reached to 16 t0 18 hours and there is no respite during Sehar and Iftar times.
The duration of load shedding has reached to the level of 8 hours in Hyderabad, Tando Bago, Tando Mohammed Kahn and Sakkur areas of Sindh.
While in Jaffarabad, Nasserabad, Jhal Magsi, Bolan, Sibi, Chaman, Loralai, Qilla Saif Ullah power outages are witnessed for 16 to 18 hours areas of Balochistan.
In KPK, Abbotabad, Karak, Nowshera, Kohat, Dera Ismail khan are also affected by the power outages.
Lawyers have stopped to work in Chichawatni in protest due to power outage of electricity.
Because of severe heat wave and Ramzan ul Mubarik people of all over the country facing difficulties due to shortfall of electricity.
