PESHAWAR - In a bid to provide best transportation facilities and to improve poor drainage system in the tribal areas, the political administration has completed several uplift projects and worked on link roads, streets pavement and drains in various parts of Mohmand Agency.
A press release issued by Fata Secretariat on Wednesday stated that to improve condition of streets, political administration constructed 1273-metre long streets in Gul Saamy Tabar village of Tehsil Pindialai, 962-metre long link road, causeway and a flood protection wall constructed in Abdi Khel village. Similarly 910-metres long street was paved in Marai Kor village besides construction of 874 meters long streets, 248 meter drains and 164 meter retaining wall in village Rahmat Said Michani of Tehsil Ekka Ghund. In Kado Kor 1316 meters streets and in Dab Kor 1512-metre long streets were paved besides constructing 112 meters retaining wall.
Likewise, 1265-metre long link road has been constructed in village Jhanda Masood of Tehsil Safi. About 1372 meters long streets were paved in Dhando Narai Asghar village of Tehsil Parang Ghar, 1734 meter streets in village Sher Mohammad, 1493 meter extensive link road constructed in village Sado Kor of Tehsil Halimzai while 244 meters long road and causeway in Wucha Jawra village of Tehsil Khwaizai was completed respectively, following construction of 488 meters long retaining wall in the area.
Apart from construction of link roads and street pavements, administration has improved the poor drainage system to make sure overflowing polluted water couldn’t stand in streets.
It is expected that more than 12 thousand people would get benefited from the uplift projects as poor sanitation and ineffective sewerage system was causing spreading of different fatal diseases in the aforesaid localities.
Residents have appreciated efficient role of political administration for completion of developmental projects that would bring comforts in their lives.
Online adds: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday approved imposition of ban on sale and purchase of 97 substandard life saving drugs.
According to details, the provincial government issued list of the names of 97 medicines and dispatched to all the drug inspectors.
The decision has been taken to impose ban after the reports of the Drug Testing Laboratory, which declared 97 drugs as poor quality.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that there are some drug products, which are being sold in the market despite ban.
The KP government took strict notice of the issue and directed the Drug Inspectors to take action against those traders and doctors who are involved in sale and purchase of banned drugs.
