LAKKI MARWAT - Girl students have outclassed boys in the annual HSSC examination held under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bannu this year.

Controller of Examination Professor Muhammad Zahoor Khan announced results at a function held on the premises of educational board on Friday. BISE Bannu Chairman Professor Muhammad Ishfaq Khan, Secretary Raj Muhammad Khan, position holder students and their parents, educationists and heads of educational institutions were in the attendance.

Zahoor said that 27,663 students appeared in the higher secondary school certificate examination out of which 20,437 were declared successful with the overall percentage of 74. He said the students of pre-medical group grabbed the overall top three positions.

According to results, Zra Mehmud, a student of Government Girls Inter College Bannu stood first by securing 993 marks. Another student of the same college Fareeha Moheet got second position with 986 marks.

Faisal Saleh Hayat of Cadet College Razmak North Waziristan Agency clinched third position in the entire board by obtaining 980 marks. The top three position holder students belong to pre medical group.

In the pre engineering group, the students of Government Degree College No. 2, Bannu grabbed the first three positions. Hamid Khan stood first with 944 marks followed by Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir with 940 and 933 marks respectively.

In humanities group, Amber Hina, a student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Ghoriwala Bannu got first position. She secured 915 marks out of 1100. Sajeela Naz of the same school remained second with 874 marks while Anwar Shah, a private student from Lakki Marwat district got third position by getting 848 marks. BISE Bannu Chairman Muhammad Ishfaq Khan felicitated the position holder students, their parents and teachers and gave away certificates and prizes to them.
