LAHORE - Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Prof Dr. Rafique Ahmad Friday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives in Gaza.

Speaking at a special sitting held at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i- Pakistan, he said, Ummah can resolve the Kashmir as well as Palestine issue by forging unity among their ranks.

Moreover, Prof Rafique moved several resolutions which were passed unanimously. One of the resolutions proposed the deployment of UN peace-keeping force until the Palestine issue was resolved.

Another resolution suggested that the law obliging the Palestinians not to raise an army should be done away with. The people in the Islamic countries are brothers to each other, hence, should try their level best to eliminate the suffering of each other reviving their faiths in Islam.

Yet another resolution proposed that the Israeli products should be boycotted. Unless effective steps were taken to restrain Israel, the ensuing situation may well lead to the World War III.

The sitting was jointly organised by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust and addressed by Brig (r) Farooq Hameed Khan, Dr Fareed Paracha and Col (r) Abdul Razzak Bugti. Brig (r) Farooq Hameed Khan observed that Pakistan should provide support to the brotherly nation. The US and the UK have rendered the Middle East totally ineffective by dividing it on sectarian and ethnic lines, so that Israel could do whatever it wanted, unopposed and unchallenged. The death toll is about to reach 800.

Dr Fareed Paracha said that the people should persuade the rulers through social media to fulfil their responsibilities in this regard. He suggested that Israeli products be boycotted, the siege of the Palestinians be lifted, the prisoners be released and the Palestinians be allowed to offer their prayers in the Aqsa Mosque.

Col (r) Abdul Razzak Bugti observed that the UK and the US were overtly backing Israel. Pakistan was not allowed to test-fire its Ghouri-3 and Ghazanvi-3 missiles because their range is above 2,400 nautical miles, and could, therefore, reach Israel.  Meanwhile, a sitting on “Establishment of Pakistan Day” is being organised at Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan today (Saturday). Col (r) Amjad Hussain Syed will preside over while Pir Syed Kabir Ali Shah will be the chief guest on the occasion.
