Will always stand by Pakistan: King Abdullah



JEDDAH: In a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, King Shah Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz assured that Saudi Arabia would always stand by Pakistan.
During the meeting, held at the king’s palace on Friday, King Abdullah underlined the historic nature of the close bond between the two countries, which dates back to the days of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The king further conveyed his personal sentiments and prayers for a strong, prosperous and peaceful Pakistan under the leadership of Nawaz.
The premier expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him during his visit to Saudi Arabia. He emphasised that his government wanted to further strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia.
The PM was accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, senior Saudi leadership and key aides of the Saudi King, including Crown Prince and Deputy PM Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy PM Prince Muqran bin Abdul Aziz, Secretary General of National Security Council Prince Bandar bin Sultan, Intelligence Chief Prince Khalid bin Bandar, Minister for National Guards Prince Mitab bin Abdullah and Deputy Foreign Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, were also present during the hour-long meeting.
