LCCA President flayed for T20 team selection

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Former first class cricketer Tahir Shah has criticised Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad for selecting over-aged and out-of-form players for Lahore team for the National T20 Cricket Cup at Faisalabad. Tahir Shah termed the selection totally biased with the talented and deserving players ignored during the selection. He said those players selected for the Cup were blue-eyed and some players assure their inclusion by unfair means while players those have been performing well in the various regional and national level events were totally ignored. He said selection of Yousuf and Shabbir Ahmed were selected and players like M Irshad, Fahadul Haq, Tanzeel Altaf and many other deserving players were ignored. He blamed the LCCA officials for destroying youngsters career. He further said that LCCA President has made the system of the association totally biased. He appealed to the Patron-in-Chief Asif Ali Zardari to look into the matter and take stern action against the maligned LCCA officials to save the game of cricket in the country which is declining sharply in the city.
