KARACHI - The Sindh Assembly on Saturday passed a condemnation resolution unanimously against Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, who declared PPP Senator Babar Awan liable to be killed. The PPP lawmakers in their speeches also lashed out at PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chef Minister Shahbaz Sharif, alleging that PML-N leaders have contacts with Jihadi elements. PPP MPA Nadeem Ahmed Bhutto sought the permission of the Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, who was chairing the session, to allow him to move a resolution out of turn, which was granted. The resolution which reads: This house unanimously resolves and strongly condemns the derogatory and unethical statement given by the Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah against honourable member of Senate, Senator Dr Babar Awan, and also given Fatwa in his statement that Dr Babar Awan is liable to be murdered. The resolution further adds: This august house demands of the Government of Punjab that Rana Sanaullah should be immediately removed from his office and disciplinary action should be taken against him. And if any incident occurred with Dr Babar Awan, than Rana Sanullah and the Government of Punjab will be responsible and accountable for that act. The ruling and opposition members voiced yes in favour of the resolution and passed it with unanimous vote. Speaking in favour of resolution, Nadeem Ahmed Bhutto said that the statement of Punjab Minister Rana Sanaullah was unethical, inflammatory, grossly un-parliamentary and entirely derogatory to all norms of morality. He alleged that it has been proved that the Punjab Minister Rana Sanaullah and other PML-N leaders have contacts with Jehadi organisations, which they established during 90s decade. He added that Punjab government broke all records of corruption as every one was saying that the billions of rupees were embezzled in 'Sasti Roti Scheme. Imdad Pitafi said that Supreme Court should take suo moto notice of derogatory and unethical statement of Punjab Law Minister and exemplary punishment should be given to him. Sindh Minister for Power Department Ms Shazia Marri said that Pakistans image as religious extremists emerge in the world due to Nawaz Sharif and his political teacher dictator Zial ul Haq, while Nawaz Sharif and his party want to run the country on same path of past. Katchi Abadies Department Minister Rafiq Engineer said that Rana Sanullah through his derogatory and unethical remarks has violated the constitution. The PPP lawmakers in their speeches censured the PML-N leadership over their statements against president said that Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif should thanked to PPP and its leaders who convinced them to take part in the elections. Earlier, the two bills including The University of Sufism and Modern Sciences at Bhitshah Bill 2011 and The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Dewan University Bill 2011 were introduced. After completing the business, the chair prorogued the house till indefinite period.
