2 bodies formed to solve telecom sector’s problems

ISLAMABAD  - In a meeting with CEOs of telecom companies, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecom Ms Anusha Rehman has decided to constitute 2 committees to solve the problems faced by the IT sector. While chairing the meeting with the CEOs of the mobile companies  Anusha Rahman reiterated the commitment of PML-N towards creating better employment opportunities and taking initiatives towards revenue generation.
The Minister discussed with the CEOs the challenges faced by the IT companies and also discussed the opportunities to help in expanding IT services in Pakistan. It was decided in the meeting to constitute two committees which would solve the challenges faced by the IT sector and also monitor the spectrum auction for next generation of technology. 
As the IT sector can contribute in boosting the economy of the country, it has immense potential to play a major role in poverty alleviation as well. It was also discussed that the country needed the next generation technology and Anusha Rehman assured her full support  and expressed her commitment to remove the hurdles in the way of launching 3G technology in the country. The CEOs of the mobile companies showed their confidence on the present government and the Minister also assured the meeting that the government would continue to provide support to the telecom industry so that the sector may continue to attract more investment and create more jobs.
