312,079 cusecs water released for rim stations

ISLAMABAD : The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 312,079 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 395,919 cusecs. According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1482.13 feet, which was 104.13 feet higher than its dead level of 1378 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 192,900 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 140,000 cusecs. The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1176.10 feet.
, which was 136.10 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow was recorded as 50,940 and 20,000 cusecs respectively.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 221,279, 194,509 and 134,660 cusecs respectively.
Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 84,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 67,779 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
