PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that encouragement and look after of artists is a sign of healthy society. The PML-N government considers patronage and assistance to the artists as its responsibility and the amount of fund for helping ailing and needy artists has been increased from Rs 20 million to Rs 50 million.
He expressed these views, condoling with the family of comedian Nasheela at his residence in Ghazi Abad. Hamza announced financial assistance for the family of deceased artist on behalf of the Punjab government and said that son of late artist would also be given government job so as to save the family from poverty. He said that the death of an artist in a pitiable condition is a tragedy. He said that saving the family of deceased artist from financial problems is the collective responsibility of the government and society.
Talking to media, Hamza said the dictator who breached the constitution and insulted the mandate of the people would be treated as per law. He said his party had fulfilled its responsibility and now it is up to the courts. He said apart from initiating action against the dictator for violating the constitution, the top priority of the government is revival of economy and ridding the people of loadshedding. “Loadshedding crisis is likely to reduce with payment of circular debt. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is soon going to announce a comprehensive energy policy,” Hamza added.–Staff Reporter
