RAWALPINDI : Hashoo Foundation in collaboration with the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM), celebrated the world refugee day on Tuesday. Hashoo Foundation was implementing the project “Skills Training and Income Generation for Urban Afghan Refugees residing in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Peshawar” funded by the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM). Under this project 1,567 Afghan refugees have been trained.

, over the last three years, in various trades. 70 percent of the trained graduates have either secured jobs in Pakistan and Afghanistan or have managed to establish their own small businesses. The project has created an enormous impact on the livelihoods of Afghan refugees residing in these localities;

To mark the event a “Job Fair” was also organized for the graduates trained under the PRM project.
