QUETTA  - At least two people were killed and 10 others sustained injuries in a landmine blast and firing incident in Dera Bugti district of Balochistan, on Tuesday. According to the police, unknown armed men opened fire at a check-post established by Amn (Peace) force in RD 238, Gopat of Dera Bugti. As result two peace force personnel were killed while two attackers were also injured.

The deceased were identified as Amanullah and Azad Khan and injured as Sher ali. In another incident, nine people sustained injuries in a landmine blast in Gopat area of Dera Bugti.

Sources said that a passenger pick up was on its way to Dera Bugti from Pat Feeder when it hit a landmine laid by unknown people.

Resultantly, 9 people sustained injuries in the blast and the pickup was destroyed.

The local administration rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area.

The injured were taken to the PPL hospital Sui for treatment.

The injured were identified as Sabir, Saeedullah, Haji Amanat, Manji Ghous Bakhsh, Mehran, Raheem Dil, Shoil and Tuq Ali.

No group has claimed responsibility for attacks.

Cases were registered separately against unknown persons while investigations are underway.
