LAHORE - PML-N leader and MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif Wednesday said Pakistan could not be stopped from progressing through so-called revolutions and sit-ins.
Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) here, Hamza said: “PML-N government has improved the situation in a year. The elements against constitution and democracy are doing the politics of disruption in the country. These elements are not only dishonoring the sacrifices being rendered by Pakistan Army in North Waziristan but also creating hindrances in the development of the country.” Minister for Education, Sports, Tourism and Law Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, chairperson acting committee for tourism Tahia Noon, members of Punjab Assembly Youth Caucus as well as vice chairman of Tourism Development Corporation Punjab Imran Ali Goraya, DG Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar, renowned cricketers Intikhab Alam, Mushtaq Ahmed, columnists and prominent personalities along with Guinness World Record holders and top performers of the PYF were also present on the occasion.
Hamza said PYF had also proved a source of promoting relations with neighboring countries on equal basis. “Pakistan is fighting war against terrorism and Pak Army is engaged in creating lasting peace in the country by sacrificing their lives in North Waziristan and the entire nation is proud of it. We will win this war and there will be peace in the country,” he added.
Hamza said that present government had been endeavoring for eliminating unemployment, poverty, ignorance, lawlessness and terrorism from the country. “No one can succeed in creating hindrances in the development of Pakistan as youth are with the government to bring the country out of darkness,” he added. He announced setting up of endowment fund with a sum of one billion rupees on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for the provision of jobs to the players winning laurels for the country in the sports so that they could stand on their own feet.  Later, Rana Mashhood said some elements wanted that terrorism should continue in the country whereas Pakistanis were peace-loving people and believe in achieving their position on merit.
