Both Sherry Rehman and Qamar Zaman Kaira, who should have known better, cut a sorry figure and looked pathetic in trying to convince the seasoned journalists that the Asif Ali Zardari in his address of June 16th had referred to the generals and the dictators of the past, and not the present military leadership, for whom he had great respect. Even a primary school child would know who Asif Ali Zardari had in mind. At the close of his tirade he hollered thrice “Hoshiar, Hoshiar, Hoshiar”. One doesn’t serve such a warning to the dead and the bygones. It is only for those who are still around.
