Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the captain of Pakistan Cricket Team and the players will be leaving for the Caribbean next month to participate in the Twenty20 World Cup. It is important that the PCB - if there is someone in the board with a vision - call in the players and ask them to show some discipline during their stay abroad. Other than this, the players-management (or may I dare to say 'mismanagement) should resolve certain troubling issues, which have been pending for quite some time, before the team leaves for the World Cup. Undoubtedly, we have some terrific - world class - players (only if they are willing to play) and therefore our team has a clear edge over the other teams. There is no reason why they should not be able to bring the Twenty20 cup to Pakistan? Please this time the team-PCB turmoil should not become a cause for another debacle. However, the problem that still remains. Is there anyone who can counsel the team members? Well, if we cannot find anyone here, then let us get someone from Australia or New Zealand. Just think about it - AMJAD H. MIRZA, Lahore, March 25.
