ISLAMABAD The oath taking ceremony of newly elected office bearers of Rawalpindi Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) will be held on Friday (today) here at Jinnah Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex. Federal Minister for Sports Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani will be chief guest at the oath taking ceremony, which will commence at 3:00pm. The federal ministers, members of the parliament, Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), top officials, journalists bodies, office bearers of the sports federations, star players and other dignitaries will also attend the ceremony. It is important to note here that RISJA elections were held on January 9, 2010. Abdul Jabbar Faisal (The Nation) President, Afzal Javed (Online) Secretary, Zahid Yaqoob Khawaja (NNI) Finance Secretary, Nasir Naqvi (Ausaf) Senior Vice President, Naseeb Elahi (APP) Vice President, Abdul Mohammad Malik (ANN) and Aqeel Anjum (Azkar)were elected Associate Secretaries of the association. Senior sports journalist Abdul Mohi Shah from The News was also appointed as honorary chairman of the association. Thirteen members including Nasir Aslam Raja (Ausaf), Gabrial De Souza (The News), Khalid Qurashi (Nawa-i-Waqt), Abid Zahoor Malik (Geo TV), Shahryar Khan (Express News), Rizwan Joji (AP), Akhtar Ali Khan (Daily Ausaf), Jehanaib Ali (ARY One World), Abbas Shabbir (AAJ TV), Namood Muslim (PTV), Shahbaz Bhuuta (News Line), Zafar Sipra (Daily Khabrian) and Fida Khan (Sana News) are the members of executive body of the association.
