LAHORE Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the PPP and the PML-Q will jointly contest in the next general elections while other political parties are using the way of protest politics to contest in the elections, but democracy should not be neglected in this scenario. Speaking on his visit to Waqt News office, he said that current set up completed its 3 years and in view of the future elections, several political parties had adopted the way of protest politics. Senior management and Director News welcomed the provincial minister upon his arrival. Political parties had struggled against the dictatorship and currently some political parties are also doing politics by adopting the way of protests, but national interest should be on top priority in this regard, he said. No doubt every political party will contest the election on its agenda but elections will decide who will take the lead. To a question, Sana said, There is a possible coalition of PPP and PML-Q in the next general elections against the PML-N as the PML-Q has no vote bank so it has to rely on the PPP. Criticising the role of PML-Q women MPAs, he said that some women were not serving the democracy by their rude and ill-behaviour. Talking about the widening gap between PML-N and the PPP, he said that those who praised us in past now were in anger and discharging their anger by criticising the government performance. Lauding the performance of Waqt News, he said the channel was a true manifestation of that legacy of Nawa-i-Waqt of which Majid Nizami and late Hameed Nizami laid the foundation.
