ISLAMABAD A petition has been filed in the apex court challenging the appointment of acting President of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) on Friday. Applicant Muhammad Adrees filed a petition under Article 184 of the Constitution making federation, State Bank of Pakistan, acting president Qamar Hussain, former president Ali Raza as respondents. He stated that according to the NBP rules, acting president of NBP could not perform his function. He also mentioned that the appointment of acting president was in violation of the SBPs rules. He pleaded the court to remove acting president from the post, otherwise bank would face serious financial losses.
