BAJAUR AGENCY - Two security forces personnel were killed in a remote controlled bomb blast in Dama Dola village of Bajaur tribal region on Monday.

Local administration said that the personnel of the security forces were on routine patrolling in the remote parts of the region when a remote controlled explosive device planted by unidentified militants went off with a huge blast.

Two personnel of the security forces died on the spot.

Soon after the explosion volunteers of the local Peace Committee and heavy contingent of the security forces rushed to the site and cordoned the area. The bodies were shifted to Khar.

Nobody claimed responsibility for the attack.

The security forces with the help of volunteers of the Peace Committee have launched search action in the area and several suspects were arrested.

The local administration have beefed up security of Khar and other areas and additional personnel of Levies forces have been deployed.

Meanwhile, the administration imposed ban over the entrance of private vehicles to the civil colony Khar and other places.

An official of the local administration said that the step has been taken for security reasons.
