LAHORE – The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday said that the candidates imbued with the spirit to serve the nation and are capable of carrying out the PML-N agenda of progress would be awarded tickets for the next elections.

The CM while addressing separate meetings of party leaders and office-bearers from Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Lahore Division at the Central Secretariat said that the PML-N presented a revolutionary manifesto for general elections, and its government in Punjab performed the best.

He added that PMLN would field such candidates who had sprit to serve and carry on the journey of progress and prosperity after winning the elections. He said the PML-N would establish new records of national service after coming into power again and transform Pakistan into the ideas of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

Senior leaders, former Provincial Ministers, Members Assembly as well as presidents and general secretaries of PML-N of District and City Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Chiniot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Kasur were also present on the occasion.  

The CM said that the PML-N government in Punjab served the masses with sheer sincerity, dedication and honesty, over which he was fully satisfied. He said that the performance of his government had not only been appreciated by the impartial national, but also by the international institutions as well. He said serving the people was basic aim of the PML-N, and the trust of the people over our performance was the biggest certificate.

He said their aim was serving the people. He said that Zardari gang had destroyed national economy, due to its loot and plunder, and had pushed the country and the people into a vortex of difficulties and problems. He said that the former federal rulers looted the country for the last five years and every day dawned with new scandals of corruption of Zardari gang.

He said that the people were relieved over the departure of Peoples Party and its cronies who had deprived the people of their livelihoods. He said that 18 crore people were now hopeful about the agenda of the PML-N, and they want the country to achieve similar progress and prosperity, which had been achieved in Punjab, during the last five years. 

The CM said that the general elections were extremely important for the survival and solidarity of the country, and people would eradicate all symbols of corruption, through the power of their vote.

He said that if the people gave another opportunity the country would be purged of corruption and destiny of the nation would be changed under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. Shahbaz Sharif called upon PML-N office-bearers to conduct their election campaign as a sacred mission, because these general elections are to save and build Pakistan.
