MANDI BAHAUDDIN - Jamat-ud-Dawa Ameer Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has said that a positive change in the country could be brought about through education and not through elections as being claimed by the politicians.

He was addressing a ceremony of awarding certificates to students graduated at Albadar School here. He stressed the need for equipping the new generation with better education to defeat the enemies of Islam. “The western education system which is promoting secularism in our country has to be replaced with Islamic education,” he said.

Referring to role of his organisation in promotion of the education, he said Jamaat-ul-Dawa was running 200 schools and their education syllabus was being followed in other 1,000 schools in the country. He said the nation was in a war and the education is the only weapon to defeat the enemy.  “Therefore we must focus on giving education to our youth,” he added. “In addition to education, we need to improve environment at home where mothers can train their children as good Muslim. Mother plays a pivotal role to build a progressive nation.”

To a question, Hafiz Saeed said the US had suffered a defeat in Afghanistan and in order to take revenge of defeat, she was spreading terrorism in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and other parts of the country.
