The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday barred president and provincial governors from taking part in election-related rallies.
ECP issued a notification under which President of Pakistan and four provincial governors have been barred from attending election-related rallies. The same restriction will also be applicable to caretaker prime minister, chairman Senate, deputy chairman Senate, interim chief ministers and advisors of the prime minister. The ECP has also put a ban on individual transfer and posting throughout the country.
