NOWSHERA VIRKAN - Jamaat-e-Islami Sardar Riaz Ahmed for NA-100 candidate has claimed that his party will win the forthcoming general election by defeating the corrupt rulers. He said this while addressing a public meeting here the other day. He said that only JI could materialise the dreams of people, protect national interests at national and international level.

He urged the party workers to be ready for launching a massive election campaign to defeat the so-called champions of public rights.

He also called upon the people to use their vote in favour of Jamaat candidates to rid the country of the ‘anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan’ rulers. He said that if elected to power the JI would ensure accountability of the rulers.

TMA removes illegal hoardings, wall chalking: The Town Municipal Administration (TMA) has started operation against illegal hoardings, banners and wall chalking in the city.

Anti-encroachment team of the TMA in its operation removed all political banners and wall chalking from various locations of the city.

The administrator urged citizens to cooperate with the civic body to keep the city clean and identify those involved in wall chalking and other illegal activities. The code of conduct regarding banners and wall chalking for election campaign has been conveyed to political parties participating in the elections, the TMO said.

Police solve mystery of blind murder: The police have solved a blind murder case of a local trader and arrested the accused here the other day.

SP (Investigations) Asad Sarfraz Khan told the newsmen that a trader Muhammad Riaz was shot dead mysteriously in Village Kotli Joyiann-Begowala, Sambrial few days ago.

Carrying out investigation on scientific lines, he said, the police arrested slain trader’s younger brother Muhammad Ilyas on suspicion, who later confessed to the murder. He said that the accused committed the offence to grab his brother’s property share.

The SP announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the police team for solving blind murder case.
