It is quite obvious that the PPP-led government, as well as the main opposition party, the PML-N, did nothing to address the issue of loadshedding, while they were in power.

Recently,  the Planning Commission of Pakistan has categorically stated that even if the deadlines for increasing electricity production are met, loadshedding will continue till 2019.

Despite this, five major political parties of Pakistan in their manifestoes have claimed that they will end electricity loadshedding immediately, in case they are elected in the 2013 elections. This clearly proves that they are lying and thus people need to take note of this.

It is now clear that the major political parties of the country are trying to fool the nation with false promises. And this is why the voters need to cast their votes sensibly.
