Think tank proposed for health policy making



LAHORE – Punjab Health Department Director General Dr Nisar Ahmed Cheema has proposed to form a think tank comprising retired senior officers of the health department so that the recommendations of these experienced officers could be kept in view while making policy.
He was addressing a ceremony on Monday arranged in honour of former Director Generals of Health Department which was attended by former DG Health Dr Khalid Saif Ullah Khan, Dr Sabiha Khursheed, Dr Rana Khalid Mahmood Tikka, Dr Anwar Khan, Dr Aslam Chaudhary and Dr Zahid Pervaiz besides other senior officers of the department.
On the occasion, Dr Nisar Cheema said officers of Health Department were engaged in improving the health delivery system in the province and comprehensive practical measures were being taken with the coordination of health professionals and health managers for the eradication of diseases.
The retired officers also threw light on professional experiences during their service.
