KARACHI  - Two witnesses have refused to identify Shahrukh Jatoi in Shahzeb murder case.

The Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) led by judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon took up the case for hearing Monday.

The investigation officer presented two witnesses including Shahr Yar and Aamir in the court and the two deviated from their earlier statements and refused to identify Shahrukh Jatoi.

They took the plea that they were not present on the scene at the time when the murder took place and they did not see what had happened therein.

Shahzeb, 20 was gunned down in defence,  posh area of Karachi on December, 25, 2012. The campaign was launched on social website twitter and face book to condemn this murder and protest rallies were held outside Karachi press club.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP)  Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had taken suo motto notice of non arresting of the accused by the police even after lapse of a week of occurrence of the murder  being the accused from influential family. The case was transferred to ATC after some hearing was held.

Shahrukh Jatoi, Seraj Talpur, Sajjad Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari were named in Shahzeb murder case.
