ISLAMABAD: Quaid-i-Azam University’s Department of Anthropology is organising two-day international conference on ‘Migration, Education and Development in South Asia’ on March 27-28.
The conference is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Sussex, UK. The conference is part of the project titled ‘Migration, Education and Development’ which is jointly carried out by Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and University of Sussex, UK.
It is supported by British Council and the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.
Federal Minister for Education Mian Baligurur Rehman will inaugurate the conference and HEC Chairman Prof Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani will chair the inaugural session. Prof Dr Eatzaz Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University, Prof Dr Johar Ali, Vice Chancellor, University of Malakand, Dr Syed Muhammad Junaid Zaidi, Rector COMSATS, Dr. Abdul Basit, Chancellor Preston University and Prof Dr Filippo Osella, Head of Anthropology Department, University of Sussex, UK will express their views on the occasion.–PR
