LAKKI MARWAT - Elders of Tajori sub-division have demanded of the authorities of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bannu to set up an examination centre for female students in Tajori in the upcoming intermediate examination.

The demand was made at a meeting with BISE Bannu Chairman Professor Ishfaq Ali Khan at his office on Tuesday. The elders, including Dildar Khan, Saifur Rehman, Saleh Muhammad, Shahidullah and others informed the BISE chairman that female students of the town and adjacent localities were faced with numerous problems while appearing in intermediate examination in other parts of the district.

They told that over two hundred female students had to travel to Lakki or Naurang by covering a distance of 65km to 80km to take intermediate examination there as the educational board had not equipped Tajori town with examination centre facility. "Many residents do not allow their females to appear in intermediate examination in other localities," they maintained.  They said that sending of female students to Lakki and Naurang towns for appearing in intermediate examination was not affordable for parents.

They told that Tajori town bordered the frontier tribal region and had the examination centre facility for the female students of matriculation. The BISE chairman assured that the facility of examination centre for intermediate examination would be set up in Tajori town.
