Officers’ data to go digital

LAHORE - In another step towards e-governance, the Punjab government has initiated a programme to digitalise the officers’ data.
This move will ensure a centralised data bank for the government to acquire credentials of the officers during selection boards, transfers and promotions.
Earlier, the Punjab government had no database for the officers’ credentials.
Sources said the information requested is crucial for the officers’ career management including promotions and future assignments.
The officers have been conveyed about this initiative, and they have been directed to submit their credentials within stipulated time frame.
