Government retrieves 10 kanals of illegally occupied state land in Murree

Rawalpindi-Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Capt (R) Anwaar Ul Haq said on Thursday that the government retrieved 10 kanals of illegally occupied state land worth Rs400 million through reclamation operations in Murree.
He said operation against powerful land mafia was carried out under command of Assistant Commissioner (AC) Murree Muhammad Iqbal Sanghera.
He said FIR has also been registered against the land mafia, whereas, a land grabber namely Naseem Sheikh was also arrested. 
DC said that the powerful land mafia had allegedly occupied the state owned land measuring10 kanals at Bank Road in Murree. 
Despite warnings by the government, he said the land grabbers had not released the land. 
He said the AC following his direction had conducted an operation against accused and freed the state owned land from clutches of the land grabber. DC Capt (R) Anwaar Ul Haq was of view that nobody would be allowed to grab government owned land enemy wherein district and strict action would be taken against land mafia found involved in such practices. 
Sharing further details, AC Murree Muhammad Iqbal Sanghera said the powerful land grabber Naseem Sheikh was ex-employee of TMA Murree and involved in land grabbing along with Kashmir Point. 
He said the land grabber wanted to sale this land at the hands of famous TikToker Zafar Supari. He said case has been lodged against the accused while further investigation was on.
