KARACHI - Vector Borne Diseases (VBD) Department of Directorate General Health Services Sindh has recorded 222 dengue cases from 1st January to 24 March 2021 across Sindh province. As per statistics shared by Sindh health department with media on Thursday, Vector Borne Diseases Department had registered a total of 222 dengue cases throughout Sindh province, out of which 109 were recorded in January, 58 in February and 55 in March. The majority of dengue cases were reported in Karachi division. In 2020, a total of 4,318 dengue viral fever cases were recorded throughout Sindh in 2020 out of which 4,080 were registered in Karachi alone. Three deaths due to the dengue fever were reported last year.
