Visiting delegation of US Senators called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at PM House here Tuesday, report said. The delegation led by Senator Thomas Carper, chairman of Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, discussed matters of mutual interest with special emphasis on regional security situation with the PM, says a private TV channel. The senators assured the PM that their country would play its due role in resolving all the disputes, including Kashmir, between Pakistan and India. They said that the US would continue supporting the democratic government in Pakistan, maintaining that their country is closely monitoring the ongoing Swat operation.
