ISLAMABAD (Online) - President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan is playing a vital role for durable peace and solidarity in the world and South Asia. He expressed these views while talking to Ambassador-designates of Netherlands, Vietnam, Thailand, Peru and Uganda who presented their credential to him at an impressive ceremony held Tuesday afternoon at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. The envoys called on the President separately and presented their credentials. In their meetings, they discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The President felicitated the newly appointed envoys to Pakistan and hoped that they will work for further cementing the already existing close and cordial ties of their countries with Pakistan. Sources told that President on the occasion said that Pakistan is playing a vital role for durable peace and solidarity in the world and South Asia. He also stressed that Pakistani products should be given access to the European market. Earlier, upon arrival of Joost Reintjes, Ambassador-designate of Netherlands, Nguyen Viet Hung, Ambassador-designate of Vietnam, Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador-designate of Thailand, Harold Forsythe, Ambassador-designate of Peru (Non Resident) and Muhammad Ahmad Kissule, Ambassador-designate of Uganda (Non Resident) here at the Presidency, the national anthems of Pakistan and their respective countries were played and the envoys were presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army
