LAHORE - Inspector General of Police Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar has suspended a DSP, SHO and an ASI on the charges of corruption and negligence of duties, and ordered for holding departmental inquires against them. He issued these orders while hearing public complaints in his open courts held at various places of the province on Tuesday. In Khanewal open court, a citizen Muhammad Sarfraz levelled charges of corruption and negligence of duties against SHO PS Thattha Sadiqabad Inspector Muhammad Afzal. Taking serious notice of the complaint, the IG suspended the said SHO with immediate effect and ordered for initiating departmental inquiry against him. Likewise, another citizen levelled charges of corruption against ASI Muhammad Anwar of PS Daanewal. On which, the IG suspended the said ASI with immediate effect and ordered for initiating departmental proceedings against him. pROTEST demO All Pakistan Railways Clerical Staff Association on Tuesday held a protest demonstration at the Railways Headquarters for the approval of 'clerical cadre upgradation. The protesters were chanting slogans against the Railways management. Delivering their speeches the union leaders said that the clerical staff of Railways could go on pen-down strike from the next week if the demand of upgradation of clerical staff was not accepted. Addressing the protesters, the chairman of Association Khalid Hussain Piya said that Railways management should accept the demand of upgradation with positive thinking otherwise the clerical staff would observe one-hour pen-down strike daily from Monday next onwards. Khalid Hussain, Tanvir Alvi, Chaudhry Muazzam, Muhammad Arif and Zaheer Butt also addressed.
