TO strengthen monitoring, Indian government has decided to construct 509 new outposts along Pakistan and Bangladesh international borders, a top Indian official said Tuesday, reported Press Trust of India. Of the 509 new outposts, 126 would be constructed along the Pakistani border and the rest 383 along the Bangladeshi border to strengthen border monitoring and border management, Indian Secretary of Border Road Management, EA Ahmed told reporters in Agartala. Ahmed arrived in Agartala on Monday and visited Khanthlang, a remote hilltop tribal hamlet in North Tripura district, bordering Chittagong Hill Tract of Bangladesh, and Akhaura checkpost.
