LAHORE - Acting Vice-Chancellor Punjab University Prof Dr Jamil Anwar Chaudhry has said that we should be thankful to the Almighty Allah and Quaid-e-Azam whose sagacious leadership and unflinching determination led to the establishment of a separate homeland where the Muslims are living an honourable and dignified life as a free nation. He was addressing a one-day seminar on Dalat Movement - Past, Present and Future held in Al-Raazi Hall New Campus here on Tuesday. Editor Dalat Voice Bangalore Mr VT Rajshekhar, Principal St Anes College of Kerala, Prof Raju Thomas, Prof Dr Khawaja Muhammad Zakriya, Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar and Director Sir Ganga Ram Heritage Foundation Prof Muhammad Yousaf Irfan also addressed the audience. Dr Jamil Anwar said we should not form any opinion about India after watching Indian movies or commercial TV channels because the face of Hindu ruling class as regards the treatment being meted out to Indian Muslims is as horrible even today as it was 63 years ago. He said the Indian Muslims were suffering from untold Hindu oppression and tyranny. He said because of the anti-human Brahmanical caste system, a Brahman became impure if an untouchable or Muslim touched him. He said before partition separate drinking water was reserved for the Hindus and Muslims on railway stations. Despite ruling over India for 800 years, the Muslims could not succeed in their endeavours to bring Hindus closer to them. Due to this narrow-mindedness and prejudiced mind the Hindu religion had remained confined to its existing frontiers. PML-N on verge of disintegration Rejecting provincial Food Minister Nadeem Kamrans statement regarding purchase of wheat, PML-Q leader Hussain Jehanian Gardezi has alleged Punjab governments claims about purchasing of 3.5 million tons of wheat is a white lie. In a press statement issued on Tuesday, he claimed that wheat procurement centres were not functioning for the last 15 days. Meanwhile, in another statement PML-Q leaders including Ch Ameer Hussain, Arshad Lodhi and Mian Munir have claimed PML-N was on the verge of disintegration due to the revengeful mindset of the top leadership of PML-N even against its own party men. Warning the members of inner circle of Sharif Brothers, they said the stated members should keep in mind the examples of Javed Hashmi and Ahsan Iqbal, who were sidelined for criticizing the party policies.
