Two people, including a lawyer, were killed on Wednesday as unknown armed men opened fire and hurled hand grenades outside the premises of Lahore Session Court to free criminals, report said. Officials said the attacker was killed in retaliation by the police. A lawyer was also among those killed. Reportedly, the routine court proceedings were underway when four armed men attacked a police party to free their criminal associates who were arriving in the court. The attackers opened fire and also hurled hand grenades on the police men, two people were killed and four suffered bullet wounds, Superintendent City Police said, adding that the firing lasted for at least five minutes.
