ISLAMABAD - Two persons including a well-known anchorperson of a private TV channel were nominated in the ex-ISI official Khalid Khwajas murder case here late Tuesday on an application filed by late Khwajas son Usama Bin Khwaja. The application was submitted to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Shalimar. A militant outfit Asian Tigers was also nominated in the application. Usama Bin Khalid along with his lawyer Ayaz Akram filed the application nominating senior journalist Hamid Mir, Usman Punjabi and Asian Tigers. Talking to TheNation at Shalimar Police Station his lawyer Ayaz said, We have filed the application to register the case against the said nominees today (Tuesday). We hope that police will do as per our request. To a question he said that if police remained reluctant in registering the case they would reserve the right under the criminal section 22A to move the court for lodging of FIR. Talking to TheNation Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam M Baqar said, We have received the application and this application would be forwarded to the legal branch to determine its legal authenticity since the murder took place in Waziristan. After the clarification and legal procedure we will register the FIR accordingly. To a question, Usama said that he had applied to seek justice and he hoped that he would get that.
