FAISALABAD - The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has disconnected as many as 39 power connections of tube-wells of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA). A spokesman for the Fesco said here Wednesday that the Wasa was defaulter of Rs64 million and despite repeated notices the agency had failed to clear the outstanding dues. He said that earlier, the disconnected connections were restored in view of the public problems and assurance from the Wasa regarding clearance of the dues but it failed to honour its commitments and hence it 39 electricity connections installed at various disposal stations, pumping stations and other installation had been severed. On the directives of Manager Operation (first circle) Khalid Rasheed, the Fesco field staff disconnected the 39 connections.
