KARACHI - The President of PaCCS User Club (PUC) Rizwan Khadim Rathore has urged Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)to allocate budget for the purchase of Pakistan Automated Customs Computerised System (PaCCS) to finalise the deal as soon as possible. It is worth mentioning here that Federal Board of Revenue all set to hire officials of high competency and good character to run PaCCS, says a press release. These officials will be responsible to serve the active users of PaCCS system. The use of system will increase substantially once Federal Board of Revenue purchase the system from Agility, the owner of Pakistan Automated Customs Computerised System, informed leading importer and President PUC. The negotiations between Federal Board of Revenue and Agility are at final stage; all the matters have been discussed in detail including purchase of the system. It was finally decided that FBR will purchase the system from Agility to make it more productive and useful solution to generate more revenues for the national exchequer. PUC President has expressed satisfaction on the recent move of Federal Board of Revenue. He said, the PaCCS system under competent officials will help Federal Board of Revenue to increase level of imports in the country. Presently, there are over 32,000 active users of PaCCS, this number will increase if Federal Board of Revenue given due priority to this automated system. This is one of the best systems installed in developed countries. The Pakistan Automated Customs Computerised System was launched following the unique requirement of trade in our country. It has generated huge revenues since its launch at Pakistan Customs.
