HAFIZABAD - The Govt College of Technology has started functioning in Pindi Bhattian, District Manager TEVTA Imran Saleem said here the other day. The Technical and Vocational Training Authority constructed the college recently for the better skills training of the youth of the area. He said that training of skills in electronics and telecommunication technologies had been started initially while other training would be started shortly to alleviate poverty from the area. A formal inauguration of the College will be made shortly by the Punjab CM, he said. compensation cheque: On the behalf of CM Shahbaz Sharif, DCO M Asif presented a cheque worth Rs1,50,000 to the father of deceased 18-year-old Muhammad Arslan at a simple ceremony here on Wednesday. As per detail, M Arslan, son of Muhammad Aslam, was playing outside his house in Mohallah Sherpura near Railway line when he slipped and fell in under construction nullah and died on the spot.
