NEW DELHI A minor blast outside the New Delhi High Court on Wednesday prompted a security alert and police reinforcements across the Indian capital, an officer told AFP. The low-intensity explosion occurred in a car park outside the court in central New Delhi, police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said. "A crude device kept in a bag went off but there were no injuries to people or damage to the parked vehicles," he said, adding forensic experts were examining the bag's contents. "We have sounded a city-wide security alert, deployed police reinforcements and appealed to residents to remain vigilant," Bhagat said as explosives experts trawled the blast site.
