The Taliban have no plans to attack Pakistans nuclear arsenal, its spokesman declared, reported Wall Street Journal. The Talibans spokesman, Ehsanullah Ehsan, dismissed such concerns Wednesday as Americas 'excuse to pressure Pakistans government into fighting the Taliban, who he portrayed as the countrys true protectors. Pakistan is the only Muslim nuclear power state, Ehsan said in a telephone interview, adding that the Taliban had no intention of changing that fact. He then mocked Pakistans willingness to work with the US, saying, isnt it a shame for us to have the bomb, and even then we are bowing down to the pressures of America? Ehsan said the Mehran Base attack was a 'continuation of our recent attacks to avenge the killing of Osama bin Laden.
