RAWALPINDI Two matches were played on the opening day of Women T-20 Pentangular Tournament here at the KRL Stadium on Wednesday. In the first match, PCB Eaglets beat Dolphins by 6 wickets. Put into bat first, PCB Dolphins could score 99 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Aliya Riaz and Maryam Hassan scored 31 and 24 runs respectively. Maryam and Faryal took 2 wickets each. PCB Eaglets achieved the target in 17.4 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Nain Abdi and Nazia Sadiq scored 49 and 25 runs respectively. Hina Shafiq took 2 wickets for 19 runs. Nain Abdi was declared player of the match. In the second match, PCB Falcons beat Oriels by 76 runs. Batting first, Falcons made 153 for the loss of 3 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Javeria Wadood made 55 with 10 fours, while Sayeda Batool Fatima and Zaiba Manzoor remained unbeaten with 46 and 37 runs respectively. Nida Rasheed and Mehwish Tariq took one wicket each. PCB Oriels were crashed out for 77 runs in 16.3 overs. Sukhan Faiz and Kanita Jalil reached the double figure with 20 and 11 runs respectively. Naila Nazeer took 4 wickets for 19 while Kanawal Naz also chipped in with 2 wickets for 8 runs. Zaiba Manzoor declared as player of the match for her all round performance.
