2,900 displaced Khyber families return home

PESHAWAR- As many as 2,900 internally displaced families of Khyber Agency have so far retuned to their homes from Kurram Agency.
According to the officials of FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA), the second phase of repatriation of internally displaced persons of Khyber Agency, who have been living in Durrani Camp in Kurram Agency, formally began on May 07 last. These IDPs belong to Shalobar, Zakhakhel and Bara Qambar Khel areas and they had left their homes owing to operation against militants in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency.
The officials said that every returning family was provided with Rs 25,000, free transport and food for six months, adding the repatriation process of IDPs would be completed by May 31.
