Russia keen to boost relations with Pakistan

MOSCOW- Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has underlined the importance of relations between Pakistan and Russia in all fields especially in economy, culture and education.
Speaking at a meeting in Russian city of St. Petersburg, he said immense potential of collaboration must be realized by political will and mobilization of resources.
The speaker assured that the parliament through its standing committees would do everything possible to facilitate the Russian business concerns in Pakistan.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also underscored the need to speed up the process of declaring St. Petersburg and Karachi as sister cities and proposed to hold Russia-specific exhibitions in major cities of Pakistan to popularize Russian products in Pakistan, to promote business relations at grass root level. He said a high level Pakistani delegation would visit Russia in September to further cement trade and business ties between the two countries.
Governor of St. Petersburg Geogry Polthovchenko expressed keen desire to promote bilateral relations with Pakistan in all fields. Geogry Polthovchenko invited Pakistani students to St. Petersburg to study in the fields of Pharmaceutical industries, health, humanitarian aid and others.
