Ali Jahangir Siddiqui to take charge of Ambassador to US on May 29

Pakistan's ambassador to US Ali Jahangir Siddiqui will take charge of his office on May 29th.

According to the media reports, Ali Siddiqui an investment banking expert and special assistant to the prime minister was appointed as Pakistan's ambassador to the US by the federal government last month.

He will leave for the US tonight and will use his new diplomatic passport to travel, sources further added.

In August 2017, Ali Siddiqui was appointed as the special advisor to the prime minister with the status of the state minister.

He is the son of a famous businessman and banker Jahangir Siddiqui.

Former foreign secretary Ambassador Aizaz Chaudhry was serving as Pakistan's envoy to the US before his retirement last month.
