Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak and opposition leader in KP Assembly, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, have agreed upon the name of Manzoor Afridi as caretaker CM for the interim setup. 

The name of Manzoor Afridi was suggested by KP government and both the opposition leader and CM Pervez Khattak agreed upon the name. 

Manzoor hails from Khyber Agency in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), who belongs to a family of businesspersons and is a non-political figure. He is the younger brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Ayub Afridi and uncle of Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi.
